Diamond Eyes album cover reveal

if you meet a person who got a nice tattoo and that tattoo is self-designed by that person, you kind of respect that tat even more.. than if that person just went in a tattoo store and pointed at a picture in a booklet and said "that one please"

i think of it in the same way about the cover, maybe not deftoes making something themlselves but anyway some photographer listen to the music and click a photo or some dude designing a painting for the cover.im sure its much cheaper this way, with a stock photo, but theyre suppose to be artists. suppose to be unique. and picking a photo like this, a photo pretty much anwyone can get, isnt so unique.

but maybe the good music on the album will lift the cover a bit, im sure it will. a little anyway

I agree 100% i read some where that " if Frank maddock is doing it then it will be badass" but all he did was grabbed a stock photo and threw some a new font on it and not much else. I'll wait till i see the whole package before i pass judgment, but right now its a little uninspired. I dig the Owl but knowing its a stock photo eh idk. at least its got some bad ass music inside

this looks like it should be for the remix or b-sides that don't make it to the album, neat shit, I still think your kind of a cock, but I kinda dig ur work so it kinda balances out.

I think the Ribbon font would have been awesome. with that white owl and the ribbon font it would make be a contrast to whats going on inside. Clean elegance on the outside, Murderous Rage on the inside. I think it would be cool if they did this whole clean and beautiful outside and have the disc its self have like blood splater on it or something. It would go with the whole contrast thing. Diamond Eyes is pretty much Murderous rage coming out in the most beautiful way

Not Saying this is good....but the fact that its this easy to create an album cover with stock photography is sad. I just dont like the idea anyone can buy the photo. It's like if A band used garage band and put their name on it. sad.

Thanks, I tried some other stuff to get closer to the original. It's gonna be a cover for future b-sides or live versions for sure!

I got rid of some contrast and put the logo in the same position as the real Diamond Eyes.

Sly, these are good, but I'd actually preffer the close up of the Owl's eye that's shown on the third trailer. that, and inverted as the first pictures.
