Ok, I missed the song by song descriptions and I am feeling much better after reading it. Love the sound of the tracks. I gotta give this the full listen next week. I hope it is more "Chino-ish" than the clip. Only time will tell.

I can't tell you how excited I am for this album.  Now true, the velvet hammer reviewer could be hyping this up to be much more epic than it really is (you can't truly describe songs, no matter how many adjectives you throw into the mix, sorry), but I doubt it.  I think we're in for an awesome, highly replayable Deftones album that years from now will stand as a match for ATF and White Pony.  Hell, this might even stand out on its own and we'll be comparing future Deftones album to Diamond Eyes.

One thing about the single Diamond Eyes I will say is I'm definately digging it.  Verse for some reason doesnt quite click with me, but the chorus is amazing.  As for Radio Friendly, I agree, it is.  On purpose?  Who knows.  But If I don't hear them play this on DC 101, the supposed "rock station" of our area, I'm going to fucking flip.  It's bullshit that all this "rock" station plays is old Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Breaking Benjamin, and fucking Muse...got I hate that new Muse song.

Oh yea...this song definitely sounds like a summer song...anyone else agree?

By chorus, do you mean the "Guns, Razors, Knives" part? Cause if you do, I for one love the verse parts 100 times better than the "Guns, Razors, Knives" part.

I love the part with: "Let's writhe, let me see you trip...", which there are two similar-sounding parts that happen. Those parts are sick and I wish they had a third "verse" like that as well, but most of the second half of the song is that same chorus over and over..

moana isn't the best, not for deftones anyway, but i do appreciate it's uniqueness, it's different for sure. DE sounds amazing, just flat out great
