Fireal, Be Quiet And Drive, Headup, MX, Passenger, Change, Pink Maggit, Deathblow, Battle-Axe, Moana, Beware, Cherry Waves, and Pink Cellphone.

These are the Deftones tunes over 5 minutes long. Get rid of Pink Cellphone, Moana, and for me Passenger and you have some off the best shit they have done. I so hope we get like five 5 minute songs on the new album.

I am not judging the songs by thier lengths, I am looking at the ratio of good songs to bad that are over 5 mins. They usually make a kick ass song when it is over 5 mins when you look at it that way. You are making my argument for me, IMO the vast majority of tool's catalog blows. And look at the god awful Roger Waters album radio KAOS or even Floyd's (waters) Final Cut. Awful stuff.

i'd say it's among their weakest stuff. it's good but not near the best, not even close to the upper 50 percentile

Yeah, Beware is one of my favorites, as is Passenger. Feiticeira is another though, and it's just over 3 mins long, so I dont think that the length of the song has anything to do with how good it is. More that the more you like it, the more you appreciate the length of it. Unless it gets boring after a while, but yeah, that's what I think anyways.

No one said it wasn't.  Dark Side is brilliant, if extremely over-cited and over-played.

But yes, Final Cut is a masterpiece.  The fact that you prefer DSOTM over it does not change the fact. 
Final Cut is a brilliant, raw, dark, emotional masterpiece of war, death, loss, self hate, etc...  It get's a
LOT of shit because it's NOT DSOTM.  It doesn't sound much like their other records because Roger
Waters had fired almost everyone in the band at that point.  But that doesn't deter from the fact that it
is an incredible document of one mans pain set to music, and I challenge ANYONE to a thumb war,
that disagrees with me.

Oh, and it also has Gilmour's best solos ever recorded.  There.  I said it.

Okay so if you add up length of the first two songs on each album, you have greater than 10 minutes!  And those are the best songs! So how many time will two songs add up to 10 minutes on the new album?!?! I hope a lot!
