im loving the bass work, and its pretty evident with a good eq on your device.

and im loving the vocal work, i like the overdrive effect on the chorus, lets all agree that this is common ground for deftones songs.

agreed on both points.

nothing really stands out with the bass in this song, except for the heavy riff (intro etc). you can clearly hear it throughout the song though.

and I'm really starting to love Chino's verses - Rocket Skates, Combat, Rats, Bloody Cape... really atmospheric stuff.

i really like the sound of the song.. guitars,base drumming vocals with the effects etc.the itself song is alright, its good for what it is, an uptempo happy party song. i just hope they still have this heavy fat sound combined with darker heavy mellow songs like finger of death or mean evil shit like wgtb. thats the tones i love. but i guess not since chino said it would be more of an optimistic record. guess i have to wait for eros

I am seriously loving this song... I really can't wait to hear Rocket Skates in the context of the album... This was a good move releasing this song so early because now I am even more excited for the album.

Also, I wish they were doing a real tour right now instead of random festival dates. It would be fuckin sweet if they did a club tour like they did before S/T was released.

I listened to it a bunch of times on the way to work in my car with my system (two 12"s). And when there's actually some bass to it, everything really does drown out the vocals. I could barely hear Chino singing (and my system wouldn't normally cause this at all; the treble is raised considerably). If it wasn't for me knowing the lyrics and where there are vocals in it, it would have been difficult to know.

Also the bass is a little pushed, muffling it a little in this recording (again, not because of my system - which has very clear bass for good quality mp3s).

So yeah either the final mix sucks or it's just not a 100% complete version still.

See it definitely feels very different for Deftones in a lot of subtle ways. No matter. I just got the new download from the official site and winamp is saying that it is 320. It definitely sounds sweet. Still loving this song. Very Deftones yet something new.
