i'm a sound engineer, and this is possbily the worst rip i have ever seen (yes, seen) in my life

like they almost couldn't have made it any shitter if they tried!

i want to eventually just do mastering because it pays so fucking well

$300 and hour (australian dollars) which isn't that diff to US dollars at the moment

it's extremely good money

I listen to shitty recordings allll the time on youtube. .... Like I'm sure we all do. I've really enjoyed listening to this song ALL fucking day.. and it will only get better tomorrow.

Well gosh, I by all means apologize to you... have you never watched a Tones concert vid? Never watched another band vid live?! If you haven't... congrats. ALOT of us do.

And everyone... HELLO.. this is not a high quality song right now... the ones of us who have listened CHOSE to do so. We don't care about the quality.. we care about the song.. and I wanted to hear it.. tomorrow it will be more clear...and sound better... and I'll still be fucking rockin it.

It's 1.72MB

You can tell its very low quality... the cymbals are washy.. and the bass guitar makes the speakers crackle.

i just used some sick software to check the rip i have.

its booming at 85 hz to 170hz

serious degredation from 350 hz to 1.5 khz, so goodbye vocals clarity and guitar tone...... and snare tone...
fair well cymbals,,,,,, this has nothing over 10 khz......... cymbals need definition between 10 khz up to 14 khz

and the sample rate is def 22.050

ok guys. i haven't joined in on this forum since saturday night wrist waiting days a few years ago. and now, i remember why i kinda stopped coming to this forum... BECAUSE EVERYONE IS AT EACH OTHER'S THROATS over every little thing. Do you forget, we are all a part of this forum because we all have at least 1 thing in common - Deftones.

I for one did download the shitty quality Rocket Skates and have been listening to the shit out of it. Wanna know why? Perhaps I'm impatient - and hell, they've been my favorite band for 10 years and I jump at the first chance to listen to a new Deftones song. And when they release the better quality version, then i'll delete this shit rip and grab the good shit.

Fuckin rocket skates kicks ass - and for only the people that are complaining about the tiniest details this song is pretty god damn heavy for some dudes that are in their mid 30s and have been a band for well over 10 years. Most bands by now have either broken up, went in a different musical direction, or just calmed waaaay down. These dudes are still cranking out raw as experimental metal. It is what it is.

last time i checked, you can rip and encode something shit at a higher kbps the the original if you were trying to squeeze blood out of a stone..... like most rippers in this situation would... even though it would still sound shit. the fact that this was ripped from youtube and is 64 kbps troubles me somewhat haha
