You know.. after listening to Hole in the Earth again.. after listening to Rocket Skates.. and all of their previous albums.. holy crap.. SNW sucked for production.

i don't understand the difference between good or bad production, unless it's really bad like 'beware' where the verse volume is lower than the chorus, that is ridiculous, and distracting. othwise it all sounds fine to me. i'm no expert in music production, i just like songs i think are good

Well, I dunno .. if you listen to Hole in the Earth.. then listen to anything on ATF or White Pony.. I think you'll have a better understanding... also.. headphones will help.

HITE actually hurts to listen to at the same volume as White Pony or ATF.. so loud.. Vocals are too loud, guitars are too muddy/distant, bass is almost inaudible... drums are lacking in the low end.

i've never really thought of music like that, vocals too loud, bass too quiet, etc. i just think 'this is the song they made', i dunno. like i said i never think production when i listen cause i know very little about it. my only production gripe ever is beware

if you wanna hear a more distinct mix of hole in the earth, GH3 you can hear the guitars much clearer, and when you just play the bass on the song the bass sound is very distinct. it's cool
