Anyway, I got a chance to listen to the track last night, and I think it is a little reminiscent of Saturday Night Wrist but at the same time it isn't. Haha, I am horrible at explaining this but I really like the song and I like the direction they're going in. Who isn't excited about a new Deftones record, anyway?

Does anyone else think that the lyrics are not so much dark but corny and rushed I love the tones to death but I'm not feeling this song at all I could hear any song on any album on repeat but after hearing this twice I was disappointed and turned it off I don't know I think I just expected a lot more after waiting all this time for a new album

its ok to feel disappointed man. I mean you DONT have to like every little piece of work they create. We know they are good but i do agree with you, they are slacking a little bit lately IMO.

Damn, does nobody else here really like this song? I've been listening to it nonstop since itwas released!
Well I guess I should talk bout WHY I like it:

I like the singing and lyrics part of it, I think the melody of his voice is nice
The riff is ok, I mean, look at Bored, that riff is pretty damn simple so is a lot of their later songs. But I like the RS riff, its a good, heavy buzzsaw riff, classic Stef
I actually LOVE the "horns" or whatever during the "youre red soaking wet" part.  Frank's effects were integrated perfectly this time, unlike the songs on SNW
It just gets me amped when I hear it and I think that this album will be something of a return to form for the Deftones, even with Chi's absence.  They need the fan's support now more than ever and even tho I am very critical of them because I hold all of their albums up with high regard, I still tried not to expect anything to be "Perfect" or "Mind-blowing" from this new release.  I just expect to do the same thing I do every album and thats to have the album slowly grow on me.  RS did not take long and thats why I'm psyched.

I like the music of the song its classic deftones greatness, I think I just expected the greatest single ever after waiting all this time I really feel like a heretic among deftone fans for not like the song its not horrible its just lacking something to me
