As for the other peopel commenting on peopel wo dont find the song to be the best song the tones ever did, get over it. we all like the tones and want the album to drop. I have a feeling that just like SNW, the singles will not do the album justice.

It's a great all-rounded song.

I wasn't sure of the vocal effects in the chorus at first (after hearing the ridiculous terradactyl-lion roar that Chino sings live) but I think it fits in quite well.

I like the sound of this song and I have absolutely no idea what the rest of the album is going to sound like.

As much as I love the song, does anybody else think that the effects on chinos voice are partially to compensate for his weak screams?

Totally, but they finally found the right way to compensate for it, both in sound and singing aproach. The last "knives" on the chorus is mindblowing, for example (and its the first time the squeal like a pig works for me). I think this may be the last record we get from the deftones with decent screams.




Ohh...and abe's snare sound isn't quite as good as with Terry's production, still good. In love with the rest from the first impressions.

You all are big fat fucking bummers, give the song a chance for god's sake! Cmon its the Tones, I remember skipping over Mascara going "eeesh!" Now I fucking love that song. Weird now that I think of it. I'll definetly be skipping over RS tho in May, only cuz I will have listened to it a trillion and a half times. I actually remarked emphasized possitive thoughts about the song and its mix, I don-t get why you quote me but nevermind.
What still I don-t get is why everyone has to put the albums to compete like it-s some kind of pitbull fight where the one who wins is the one who pulls off the oponnent balls. Every album should be aprecciated for what it is and the moment, state of mind and place it was created.

Just let all people express your opinion, sorry if it's a bummer for you to read but I'd rather read posts who say something more than "OMG best song ever", I want to read WHY and WHY NOT.That's it.
