Well, the quality is definitely better. But I still find fucking ridiculous the fact that almost everybody was like " OMG THE QUALITY SUCKZ LOLZ I AINT GONNA GET THAT SHIT LOLZ " about the previous rip.

i'm starting to think RS isn't a single, just a free taste since diehards heard it live anyway. i think maybe that video they shot was for a different song, the single, DE possibly. or i could just be horribly wrong here

I say people can do whatever the hell pleases them, as long as they don't give anyone else shit for not doing the same. I don't give a fuck who did and did not listen to the first rip.

maybe it's just me, but the quality wasn't all that great on the actual download either. might just be my speakers though.

Like someone said in the first pages of this topic.. i think his voice is kinda in the background.. im a little disappointed. I mean.. its cool to focus on the song but i'd like to hear his voice better. Louder.. i dont know. Looks like Stef's taking over. lol

Also sometimes sounds like Chino is out of tune.. just an impression. I mean dont get me wrong.. when i first heard Beware i twisted my nose and now its one of my favorites songs (not the one on the record, the one with more overdrive i think).

Its a cool song..i guess. I definitely prefer the live version.

yea, and the fact that the pic they posted with the tiny computer pics of the video said rocket skates in the corner doesn't support my theory either. scratch that theory,hadn't seen that pic in weeks, forgot it said RS on the comp screen. just wondered why they made a lyrics video for RS when it has a vid already.i guess it is a single. not a good choice for a single, but they've had bad choices for singles before, hexagram and mein. i wish they'd let me choose their singles, i'd at least pick the most likely to get airplay

I think it's just because Deftones are working with the old ATF style sound production. You know, sounding like a garage band a little ?

Oh my gawsh. Love it. Didn't really feel like this prior to S/T or when I first heard HITE. I am genuinely pumped.

Yes it is reminiscent of ATF definitely. But also sounds like the consolidation of all their past elements. Also sounds fresh. Sounds natural. Sounds like the music they should be making.
