Does Jared point out to the crowd where ever he goes? I guess that's his thing. He needs to be a little spontaneous then doing the same dumb shit over and over again at different shows.
He's an actor, isn't he? ;)
They should have joined RATM on stage. I truly love Rage and I think, but maybe it's only an impression, Deftones were inspired by their music during the Adrenaline era. Like them or not, they are obviously better than 30STM...

aj

wow, we finally have confirmation of some of the working titles/final titles

TVP is CMND/CTRL

and Skymall is Beauty School

The general vibe i'm getting is that a lot of the download crowd thought deftones killed the vibe before rage, apparently Megadeath had them really going, which says a lot about the lack of taste of these pricks... This is why i hate the amount of narrow minded metal heads that download and sonnisphere attract. It makes me fucking sick, I swear if it wasn't for the Deftones, who push the envelope, we'd be stuck with band after band after band pissing out contrived bollocks..........ughhhhhh rant over, seriously i hate staunch metal heads who only headbang to the 'heaviest' bands, who address the crowd as if they're WWE wrestlers.

Dude. Please refrain from speaking to people on www.iridetheyellowbus.com about their Download experience. Haha.

One of a handful of bands to get 5KKKKK review in the Kerrang this week.

Deftones owned Download. Fact.

Just for the record i thought they were awesome - but a few comments i heard and lame crowd have made me think a good majority of the festival go'ers were like WTF

Ha, can you imagine what the really hardcore metal fans were thinking wen they heard Sextape or Beauty School? Some ppl are really limited in their music tastes, so that must really kill them to hear.

Law

You have to remember that Download is a big ass fest, not everyone is gonna go crazy, me and thee didn't for instance. We grooved but this time I didn't jump in the pit. The arena at Donnington is legendary, hell chino mentions it on that video... it really is iconic in terms of festivals. But I don't agree with the dumbass metal head outlook. Yes a lot are narrow minded but to be fair Deftones are alternative for a reason. And festival wise Download is way friendlier than Leeds/Reading for instance. I think Deftones are one of those bands though, people are kinda not sure how to gauge them, especially one min they are doing Rocket Skates then next is Sextape.

Lamb of God, Megadeth, Deftones and RATM was a great end to the day, loved the variation. And I know there isn't too much love for Megadeth here, but they were brilliant all round; they generally rock so much, but song wise I obviously prefer deftones. I was suprised though with the number of slower songs by deftones, and some v heavy ones like Lotion and Elite. If they wanted everyone to go even more crazy, they should have done more off Adrenaline, as 7 words quite frankly made everyone go mental, so I assume Rage were quite pleased with that just before they came on.

Overall great performance, them Rage and Volbeat were my favourites on that day.  Atreyu werent bad either but they always put on a decent show.

Starz

I was standing near the front for Deftones and I'm pretty sure most people around me where there to ensure they had a good spot for Rage. Me and my girlfriend were rocking out lol but everyone around us kinda didn't care... But everybody loves My Own Summer and 7 Words.

Like Law said, it's good to have some variation. Download is famous for 'metal' so you'll always get the dicks who hate anything less than metal. I've been to Reading Festival nine times and the metal dicks at Download are 99% more friendly than anyone at Reading. People are there for the music at download but with Reading it seems people are there to show off their new clothes and hair style and the music isn't such a big factor.

ok i kinda side tracked there for a minute, sorry lol.

Hesperian Death-Horse!

Doesn't Download fest normally get streamed on the internet and when the Deftones play doesn't their pro-shot set get completely uploaded to youtube or somewhere else?

Has that happened yet for 2010? I love it when that happens.

Vesanic

No. Download Festival announced, before the opening of the festival, that there wouldn't be any streaming this year.

anguria

They should change the name of the festival, then!  >:(

Well yeah, I was rather dissapointed myself, but Subliminal told me that Kerrang! TV would broadcast some stuff from the festival... Like a best-of, or something.

I was just glad to hear Randy Blythe (Lamb of God) is a big fan of Deftones. It's nice to hear that since I love Lamb of God just as much.

Yeah, there should be some pro-shot footage from the day. The Streaming obviously cost them shitloads on bandwidth servers or whatever the deal is on that!

Deftones Interview

I feel sorry for this dude, I can tell you, interviewing and being interviewed sucks ass. Unless the questions are unique.
