I think 30STM might be regarded as a "chick" band - mainly b/c Jared Leto is the lead singer.  Kinda like Sugar Ray with eyeliner and bite.  I personally don't mind 30STM and think people bash them just to be "hard"

that's a fairly rudimentary drum pattern and nothing special. I'm sure you'd find it in quite a few songs outside of hard rock music.

it's not fairly rudimentary. maybe the bass and snare are, but placing the hi-hat on an off beat pattern over that makes it pretty different.

but I dare you, find at least 2 other songs with the same drum pattern and I'll stand corrected.

+12,662; you're right the high hat is the same as rx queen even. it's not as technical as how abe plays it (the high hat), this song sounds exactly like how i play rx queen on the drums
