Funny story about the screaming cat...

This is kinda cool;

We all know Deftones used 'the' screaming (actually it's yawning) on one of their first t-shirts and on a bored promo cd:



A lot of people been looking for better pics of the cat to get it tattooed and stuff like that. Now a few years ago (4 or something) I was in some crappy woolworth's kinda store here in holland where the sold all kinds of greeting cards. THE deftones cat appeard to be one of the cards. Just the cat. It is the EXACT same photo Deftones been using for years so it's obviously a stockphoto. Of course I bought 2 of those cards and for fellow fans I created a wallpaper by putting the deftones logo over it. You probably know it:

But what the most fun part of this all is this walllpaper got spread all over the internet and now this image is being used in all kinds of merchandise. I can tell its my image use of how the logo is places over the cat and how it has an outline. Check ebay:

Bags, earrings, clocks and an USB stick...... I might as well make an even cooler wallpaper to see it appear online everywhere.

I smell bullshit iv seen this cat without the writing before on deftones early promo stuff (I think its on the adrenaline promo poster) so anyone could come up with a story like that watch

Jeez chill out bro. I will post it. No worries. I don't tell this to bitch or whatever you think I am. And you were right. Deftones have used it on that Adrenaline promo poster. I think it's kinda weird/funny or what the hell you will call it, to be in a store in like 2004 0r 2005 and bump into this card with the EXCACT same picture which dates from 1995/1996..... It's also kinda fun people use my high-res scan/wallpaper to make money of deftones. That's the reason I posted this.

But, I will look for it now.

I was really getting into this forum again but all my bad memories starting to come back. There are exceptions of course.
