Well, I'm kinda lost for words. I never thought of them as some perfectionists who would work on a record for such a long time.It's weird that they will use as B-sides material that was meant to be released as a full length record. I have to admit though, that this is their work and they have the right to manage it any way they can. Also, it's funny that they mentioned this is their best record. I think they said that for S/T and SNW too

They aren't gonna sit on their arses all day waiting for Chi to wake up. The situation is bad, we all know it's bad it's fucked but Chi wouldn't want the band just sitting around wasting their dollar on online poker. So they are writing an album with the Quicksand guy and will probably release that next year. And when Chi is all better again they will release the album where Chi is playing bass. Sounds ok to me. All you cunts are just too hard to please. Give up being a Deftones fan if it pisses you off that much...

More power to the Deftones. If they feel this is historic (Eros) and they want to wait for the perfect moment to release it, I'm fine with that. That really means more Deftones music in the future. It's a bit tiresome to sit and wait especially knowing Eros could have been released, but hey, we've been waiting for a while anyway.

It's all out of due respect. Why release music that was written with Chi if he is not there to play/receive credit for Eros? It's going to come out sometime.
