this is bullshit....they are writing new material with sergio.  and i'd put my life on it that terry is producing it.  i doubt we'll hear chi's stuff on the album but their will eventually be an album.  it might not be called eros but im sure the deftones are still making music.  why would they post picks of them in the studio on twitter if they weren't recording???

i think the most depressing part of that interview was the fact that slopez is helping to produce the album, man did he fuck up SNW. I really have a hard time belieiving they would not release the album and write and record all new material. Until i hear it from the band themselves, i call bullshit (though a double chi/sergio  album would be kick ass).

Chino's voice was pretty terrible though. That was mostly what Lopez worked on. See Rapture, Beware, Cherry Waves, and then compare it to any song off of S/T. His vocal parts are awful.

um, no. in certain cases (bands like Metallica or artists like Madonna) yes, but for the most part and especially a band like Deftones, no.

merchandise and live performances are what earns the band money.

record sales are mostly important to the record label, even though they try to make it out to be more important to the artists. and guess why? because the record labels want you to buy albums so they can make money.
