It was recorded that way, but written together and they were all in the studio together while they worked on it. As opposed to the old way of recording separately and then sending it around to the other members to do what they will with it.

As for Rolerderby, people usually name their effects as to what song they're used on. I'd put my money on a working title for a song.

Well regardless of how they wrote the album (but in this case yes, apparently they all wrote it together in the same room, as was the last one) when you go to record it, generally you track the drums first, then bass, then guitar, and then keys / vocals. And then go back and add little hits or sound effects or what not, and then begin mixing and mastering. The reason you record the drums first is because that is the most basic "time keeping" track. All other tracks have to be synced up perfectly with this track. You normally add the bass to finish off the groove section and then do the guitars. Finish with keys and vocals.
