All New Zealand bands that would have been huge overseas but the New Zealand music market is way to small for such bands to make a living here.

I'd like to inform you about a band from my neck of the woods, called Kvelertak (translation: chokehold).



they call their music "Necro'n'roll", and it's basically a mix between elements from black metal and pop rock.
Here's a single from their upcoming debut album, the track is called Mjød.

Have been listening to this album 3-4 times since yesterday. Awesome, awesome stuff and definitely one of my favorites this year.
