Blindspot, Jakob and Shihad.

All New Zealand bands that would have been huge overseas but the New Zealand music market is way to small for such bands to make a living here.

Bummer.

Blindspot:

Blindspott - Nil By Mouth

Blindspott - Room To Breathe

Jakob:

Jakob - Safety in numbers

Jakob - nice day for an earthquake

Shihad:

Shihad - You Again

Shihad - Bitter

Outside New Zealand I've heard rumours that people aren't aware of a band called Kyuss. If your american hang your head in shame.

Kyuss - Whitewater

dude Kyuss were an american band with JOSH HOMME (now Queens of the stone age). There pretty damn well known
Dingus.

I'd like to inform you about a band from my neck of the woods, called Kvelertak (translation: chokehold).

they call their music "Necro'n'roll", and it's basically a mix between elements from black metal and pop rock.
Here's a single from their upcoming debut album, the track is called Mjød.

YouTube - Broadcast Yourself.

I gotta quote this.

Have been listening to this album 3-4 times since yesterday. Awesome, awesome stuff and definitely one of my favorites this year.

sounds cool. I don't approve of the guitarists hat, but other than that it's all good.
