The show was incredible as always.  It was sad not to see chi but its good to see that the tones are still doing their shit.  Chino looked great and sounded great.

micky

maybe he has relapsed to speed...i hope not - I don't think he is touching that shit again.

You all fail so hard at reporting this show.

I'll write something up in a few minutes when I'm less busy and explain how this was by far the most intense/emotional Deftones show I've ever been to.

We can't report a concert we've not been to. I wonder if Chino is able to sing Passenger without  cracking now.

It's the one that has been dedicated to Chi. Not Dai the Flu.

I've seen the Deftones a lot over the years.  I've seen em at their best and worst.  But I gotta say, they just set a new high in their career.  Their energy was insane.  They sounded great, looked amazing, and jived so well.  It definitely was a revitalization of sorts.   For those asking about chino's weight, he's been training routinely for the past few months, and it shows.  They didn't play anything new but that's ok, as it wasn't the setting.  They stuck with the classics, and they sounded like never before.  Sergio is definitely the man for the job.  It's so sad about Cheng, but the Deftones are making the most of the situation and we have to be supportive of their imperative to move forward.

A friend of mine wrote this review of the show if you want more story-telling

Shit yeah, this energy is reminiscient of the Around the Fur days..glad to see everyone in good spirits.  Wish Chi was there to share this moment with them.  Also..song structure will be a little different since Chi isn't doing backing vocals..it's kinda weird.
