If you mean one of the best singers in the world at yelling annoying whiny repetitive crap that real people outgrow very quickly, then you're quite right.  Us Def-heads have our reasons as to why we hate bands like LP, and kids like you can't convince us otherwise, so stop trying.  I had my phase where I thought I liked LP a lot, then I out-matured that nu-metal cliche.  Fucking greedy trendy Hollywood band.

Chester's pre-everything band. Very nice, mellow rock.

maybe you should start opening your mind and realize it's not because he's the singer of Linkin Park that he's not a great singer. hell, I love Chino's voice but I don't consider him a great singer.

Chester actually has a pretty flat voice and not that great of a range. sure, he can do what he does pretty good, but I can assure you that you couldn't throw any kind of music at him and he'd be ably to make it sound like anything other than his usual stuff.

It's not the "quality" of his voice that's necessarily the problem, it's rather the "quantity" (what he sings about, plus the fact that most of their songs sound annoyingly the same/use the exact same formula).
What really pisses me off also is the fact that he basically claims he/LP is above "nu-metal", when in fact he/LP is knee dip in the shit.  His band LP neither created nu-metal nor did they necessarily make it better. They are sell-out followers. LOL @ Chester ripping-off Bonehead (Bono)/U2 now.
Lol the only LP song I like anymore is Sessions, and that one has no vocals in it at all. 
Don't bother responding to this post, I will most likely never even open this topic again, in fact it shouldn't even really exist in the first place, Linkin Park could never destroy Deftones.
