Hey guys.. Sorry it's been awhile since I've been on SL. I've got updates on one love site and Chi is in need of prayers again. It's been fucking frustrating cuz the guy just doesn't seem to catch a break. It sucks. He's been thru so much. I talk to him on the phone and try to lift his spirits and let him know we are all here for him. He wakes and looks at the phone when he hears me talking his mom said. Things gotta start getting better.

Not giving up.

I will keep everyone posted on one love.

hey all,

today was the first day towards continued standing therapy for chi. they have been putting him on the standing table but no pressure has been put on his feet until today.

nothing specific to report.. but they did have him on his feet today. i will see if we can get more specific details from the therapist on how they feel he did with the therapy.

unfortunately chi did have some storming episodes today. he is fine now.. but the doc is unsure whether it was storming or a seizure.. or even what the cause may be. they did some tests so we hope to know more soon.

they will however continue getting him up on his feet.

i will report back when i have some more specific details.

please keep chi in your thoughts.

hello there. they stood dai (Chi) up on his feet today again on the standing frame, he did so good man, he was real excited, i stood up in front of him, i asked him to look at me and he did, i told him that he has to look down bcuz i am short! haha. hes so strong and hes breaking thru all this thick ice! hes got this!

hi all,

i had a nice chat with momma j and chi today. she wanted me to share some news and pictures with you.

first of all momma j wanted to let everyone know that chi is going in the right direction and to thank everyone who has contributed to helping get chi to NJ. she said we are staying until he can walk out himself or... we run out of money! (well momma j – we are going to fight hard to make sure he won't be having to leave for lack of funding. "power in numbers" seems to be the theme across the globe lately and the "one love for chi family" set out to be a part of chi's journey no matter what it takes.)

momma j also wanted to thank deftones for all they have done and also for the last benefit they did in sacramento and the money that they raised.

she also asked that everyone still please keep chi in your thoughts and prayers.

also thanks to dr. defina, dr. fellus and dr. gambino for all they are doing to help chi and for continuing to develop protocols to help those like chi suffering from a traumatic brain injury.

ok – so for some updates...

roxie has gone back to california. her family needed her help. the chengs and i are very grateful to all she has done to help chi during his rehabilitation. thanks roxie. you are appreciated.

momma j and i have been wanting botox therapy for chi for some time. botox therapy would help with the stiffness in his wrists, fingers, hands, joints etc. well it's finally happened! so thankful! now he won't be met with so much resistance when trying to move his hands.

there is a new nurse named dana that is working with chi... she promised him yesterday that she would get him outside for some fresh air (it's been awhile) – and today she kept her promise and took him outside. momma j said you could tell he really enjoyed that.

they have doubled up on chi's therapy and have amped up his protocol! they are still doing the standing table therapy daily but they are also doing laser therapy and electrode therapy twice a day now. this is really great news that he is getting more therapy! this is all possible because of all of YOU! thank you all!

after momma j and i talked for awhile i asked her to pass the phone to chi's ear... i let him know how much LOVE we all have for him and that we were here for him 100% no matter what it takes or how long it takes. i also told him it was time to get his ass up so we could all go on a nice long vacation to celebrate his recovery! i told him we could all go on a cruise or to a beach etc... momma j said he started moving his legs in a way as if he was trying to get up! i have no doubts whatsoever that chi hears what i am saying and understands exactly what is going on around him. momma j asked him to "blink for gina" and he did. he's been asked by roxie before to move his fingers.. he does. little things like that.. it's apparent he is aware. i also told him i know he is working hard and i encouraged him to keep fighting and that he had a ton of support out there.

i have read countless stories about people like chi who HAVE recovered and they DID hear and know what was going on around them during the time they were said to be in a "coma" or "minimally conscious state". most of the coma patients who have recovered that are walking/talking now had a long journey.. i'm talking 8-10 years of rehabilitation to get to where they are now. this is very encouraging to me.. for chi. it is absolutely a journey.. and surely not a short one either. that's ok chi... i got time...and lotsa love.. and will be here for you as your friend and supporter for as long as it takes.. and so will the one love fam!

hey all,

yesterday was a great day! hope you all had a good one as well.

so yesterday i talked to momma j and chi. his botox therapy went well on all the joints it was applied to. it helped to loosen them so he is able to move easier. next is botox therapy on his neck. that was supposed to be done yesterday. i haven't talked to momma j today yet to find out how that went.

momma j told me that chi has been making noises a lot again.. (it's been awhile) almost as if he is trying to speak! he does this occasionally but lately it has been more consistent. she said it was almost non-stop yesterday. this is great news! when she and i were talking all of a sudden i start hearing (in the background) vocal noises.. it was chi! she put me on speaker phone and i just listened as tears welled up in my eyes! it was so great just to hear his voice. he went on and on as i encouraged him to keep trying! it just seemed so likely that he was trying to verbalize something. momma j was singing "moon river" to him and he was making sounds almost as if he were trying to hum along. so awesome!

i also talked to one of his nurses... (my pregnancy brain will not allow me to remember her name! argh!) and she told me that chi is doing the standing table therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy daily. sounds like he is doing therapy almost all day long. i am so happy they are working with him so much. you should hear how good these nurses are with him.. encouraging him to speak etc.

i will update later once i have more news.
