Honestly, I'm beginning to think deftones doesn't even give a shit about Chi.   They really need to do something, a benefit concert/tour/album, a vigil...anything.  Other than a couple blogs from Chino, I haven't heard a damn thing.  Didn't they just play a fest recently?  Did anyone that posts here see the show?  Did they even mention Chi?  Just curious. 

The decision to tour without Chi, the re-recorded bass tracks for Eros, and the general sense of complacency is disappointing to say the least. 

I hate to talk shit about my favorite band of which I have faithfully supported for 13+ years, but I can only come to two conclusions, the deftones are devout Taoists and currently practicing Wu Wei...or they have simply turned their backs on this situation.

I was at Bamboozle and Chino did talk about Chi.  He said their going through a fucking rough time and that they miss their brother.  He also dedicated head up to Chi.  Its still not enough.  They need to do some shows or release some music with all the money going to Chi.  Shit sucks man.  Fucking sucks

even if they do "at some point" raise some serious cash for him, the most important time he needed it was right after the crash, which was now 7 months ago. the first 4 months of a coma is the most critical. puzzling to say the least.....

why couldn't they have done a bunch of concerts right away & given all the money to Chi's medical bills? tried their hardest to get korn to do shows, any other major bands they know, etc. maybe we dont know the whole story.... well, none of my business

There's nothing worse than coming on here to read about any updates on Chi's condition and instead reading bullshit from people who have zero involvement with the situation other than being "fans" of Deftones. Yes, it fucking sucks that Chi is in this condition and that the new album will be delayed or shelved (for good fucking reason) but you all need to chill the fuck out with the "Deftones aren't doing enough" shit. Like nicklav said, it is truly a mind fuck that you people think you know how the band is dealing with this tragedy. Take this shit to the deftones.com board with all the other assholes who call themselves fans.

as for chi... he is the same right now.. still in ICU... we are waiting on confirmation on a couple things and then i will make a more detailed update... mae called me last night and chi was resting fine.

some other big things are happening right now that i am working on an announcement for.. i just need to do a couple things first.

You don't have to know them personally to SEE they haven't done much of ANYTHING! It's been what....7 months since Chi's accident? You hardly hear them talk about Chi,If it weren't for Chi's mother and a few other select people,nobody would know anything. WHY has it taken 7 months for them do something big to help him out? That hardly seems like a brotherhood. If I were in one of those guys situation,I would have been having benefit concerts,even if it were in a fucking parking lot,a bake sale,auction.....WHATEVER to help out. Fuck,get Deftones to make an official Twitter,and raise money on there like Trent Reznor did for that nobody. People forget Chi's still in this situation,but if you push and push,awareness will be made and more cash will flow in.

Now,if you have proven facts that things HAVE been done for Chi on behalf of the remaining Deftones members,I will eat my words gladly. But until then,I will judge as I please.
