Head responded that Fieldy got a hold of him and together with some guys from Slipknot and Sevendust will work together and write an instrumental song to benefit Chi from the Deftones who is still in a coma.

This news is absolutely great but I have a question about it.

Based on the conversation Mae had with Chi, it sounds like he was fighting her when it came to cleaning his mouth.  Later you say, though, that it was the first time that Chi didn't fight Mae.

So does that mean he fought at first but then let her clean him?

Also, do you have any idea how often the other members of the band see him?

yes - once she asked him you are going to want your teeth etc.. he allowed her to clean without resistance.

That's why Chi is my favourite bass player, he's like no other bass player out there, he doesn't just stand there or makes himself as invisible as possible like many others do. For the latter years, I think he's been THE ruler on a Deftones stage as Chino kinda stepped back a little on his stage presence. He was just all over the place, graceful as a tiger.

I love the contrast in the band presence.

I mean, generally, you expect to see the guitarist showing himself and the bass player staying in the back. For the Deftones, it's kinda the opposite. We don't see Stef that much on the video recordings. And Chi moves like a mad monkey. Stef has his own presence, though.
