Like someone said before, if this was some big of a deal the guys wouldn't be so mystical about it. they would come clean and tell us whats happening.there for i believe people shouldn't be so negative about this. hopefully they will tell us something in the next couple of days and you guys will see there has been to much worry over nothing that serious.

I don't think that the band would be cryptic like this is something major did happen. Even though the banner that says "the end" is a radio station, whoever updated would be out of their mind to put those words up right now, when so many people are watching and waiting for good news.

Either this is Chi, someone was stoned, or someone hacked their myspace and is fucking with us all.


EDIT: Some people on myspace are saying that the file is empty, so maybe the site was hacked after all.

    Chi Cheng, reading some of his poetry at a Sacramento cafe in 2005, remains in a coma after a car accident last week. The bassist for the platinum-selling Sacramento band Deftones, is hospitalized in San Jose.

Deftones bassist Chi Cheng is still in a coma following a November car accident, and now Sacramento area musicians are banding together to provide support.

Cheng, 38, was seriously injured in a car accident Nov. 4 in Santa Clara County.

Local metal band Will Haven will headline a benefit show Tuesday at Harlow's (2708 J St.) The line-up features Deftones drummer Abe Cunningham and a Tinfed reunion. Death Valley High, Last Angels and Eightfourseven are also on the bill and DJs Frank "Nitty" Delgado and Crook One will also spin tunes.

The benefit is being staged by Will Haven guitarist Jeff Irwin and Marc Mojonnier, a longtime friend of Cheng.

Mojonnier said Cheng, athough still unconscious, is showing signs of recovery and has been moved to a rehabilitation center in Marin.

"He's been taken off life support and is fully breathing on his own," Mojonnier said. "He's opened his eyes and shown (physical) response and we're all just praying that he's back home by Christmas."

The benefit show starts at 9 p.m. and costs $12 at the door. All proceeds will go to Cheng's family.

Wow... at the 7:00 pm of today good news started to rain over me, including this! (the one above from the Sacto news...)
so let's hope they keep arriving to my life as well as to all of us...!!

Probably it's the End of the Coma, and that's why was moved to a smaller hospital, because he only needs to be in observation so intensive cares are not for him (i mean, he doesn't need them, he's quite alright!)
but they should have let us know all that... time will say thought..

Can one remain in a coma but open and close their eyes?? Either way, this is great news. If he's up and about by Christmas--that would be fantastic, just awesome. Keep fighting Chi! Everyone is rooting for you!
