to answer a few questions.

Accident was totally not their fault.  they were struck by another car.

Head injury only... no other injuries.

Things look good so stay optimistic.

thank you so much.

Could you tell us if he's in coma due to the accident or if they are keeping him this way?

QuoteHi,

I spoke to Chi's mother this morning, the Neurosurgeon treating Chi says the first 72 hours are critical, and as of now he is fighting the good fight and the doctors remain optimistic. We are seeing your prayers in action.
The family asks that all the prayer warriors out there to continue to pray for Chi, and keep sending out your positive energy!

Today's good deed for Chi is to call someone you love, remind them of that love by saying "I love you," and like yesterday remind them to buckle up.

Just to ease minds that I'm not some asshole posting false shit...  the answer to that question is actually, all of the above.  I've been sort of out of the picture for the last couple years because I've been sick.  but we went to school together, took poetry classes together,  sold our clothes to buy beer together, stole toilet paper from the Weatherstone cause we has spent our clothes money on beer.  I  was at his first wedding and then the baby shower.  Was in the Cheng family in San Francisco after they played the Warped Tour in 96 with 13 other people including 7 of the Cheng family members when we got pulled over by a cop because his mom had forgotten to put her new stickers on the plates.   sorry if that is TMI, I've been tripping around in my memories this week, scared as hell.

But seriously...  From test results... they do think he'll be okay.  He is still comatose because he is healing.  He always told me about my disease that I shouldn't worry about the what if's and that things would work out if I was positive.
The reason that I posted was because I too... between updates from a family member and a small circle of friends who know him...  have been cruising the web to make sure I don't miss any new news.  And all I find are people saying awful things like he was probably drunk or thank got it was just the 'bass player', or what if he never gets better.  I guess I'm just trying to keep things positive at least on one place on the internet.
One thing, Chi is the strongest person I've ever known and he is going to get through this.  He has to.  And thankfully things are looking up.  Chi always used to say that he never looked at the ground when he walked because he was too busy looking up for the answers.  (Steph used to tease him about tripping all the time...)  But anyway...  I guess that is all.  Sorry if I've been vague.  I just don't want to overstep bounds and spill too much of what was said to me in confidence.

So... lets all just look up for the answers and not look down.
