I wonder what he will think when he wakes up.  The last time he was conscious he was in his car.  Next he knows he will wake up in a hospital bed.

so then nickelback are GOD too, selling doesnt make you GOD. Oprah is just some lady that for some reason is put on a huge pedistal, for no real reason. her opinion on anything is no better than yours. like P Diddy, the dude is a dildo, yet he's "supposed" to be cool, & makes tons of money(i wouldnt give him a penny, who is paying him? & why?). i just dont buy into celeb hype

I agree. I guess people just want to be with the hype then. If your doing what everyone is doing, then your cool and hip, right?

On a related note, I remember watching Late Night w/ Conan O Brien a few weeks ago and he was talking about how when Oprah mentions someones book on her show the instantly become the no. 1 seller on Amazon.com. Yet Conan, when he mentions an authors book on his show they drop 560 spots down in the Amazon.com's sales rank, lmfao. ;D I fuckin' love Conan.

I always buckle up, ALWAYS.

It never crosses my mind not to.

I feel no sympathy for people who don't wear seatbelts.. they're there for a reason, if you don't wear it, it's your own damn fault if you die in an accident.

I think you should really rephrase this...I mean....look who this thread is for dude.

I know who the thread is for..

People still have a responsibility to protect themselves.. if they don't respect that option, then I have no sympathy.. he's gonna be fine, he got lucky.

I didn't mean for my comment to sound rude, I was just saying that's what I do.

Get well soon Chi.

Hey Chinky Spice.

Its good to hear that your on your way to a great recovery. I knew that if anyone could pull through such tough adversity it would be you. Your work with the Deftones will always have a deep impact in my life. You are one of the most important individuals in that band that adds to their unique sound. If you were ever to pass on, no one would be able to fill your shoes as a bassist in that band. When your fingers fly all over that fretboard you strike many hearts as well as give off many emotions. The bass line you wrote for Cherry Waves is my favorite moment in SNW. Even though I don't play bass, you have influenced my life as a human being by showing me how to help other people that are in need. Glad to hear that your on the road to recovery and I can't wait to see you on tour with your brothers. You will get the ovation you have always deserved.

we're supposed to keep some kind of journal for shit we doin for chi so he can read this.
so i hope he reads this haha
the other day i was gettin a ride to work from a friend, with my seatbelt on of course, when i saw an old woman tryin to get her walker over a puddle and onto a sidewalk. it wasnt happening, so i ran out of the car across the intersection and helped her up. can't say i didnt put myself in danger, but i helped her. for you chi haha.
oh you deftones, always makin me a better person

Martin

Good deeds. Good ideas. So far, I have almost (maybe I forgat once or twice) always buckled up in the back or passengers seat (seeing how I don't own a drivers license). I didn't actually tell people I loved them, but hugged the people that I saw that day (which included my dad and my best friends). I haven't seen a homeless person in the last few days, I've seen a few children last night, when I was wandering around, and had some kind small talk with them. Working on the forgiving thing. Will go through my house. There's a can which collects clothes for those in need close to where I live, to which I have donated a little bit in the past.

hope chi wake up from coma soon
still sending good energy to you

I always buckle up, there this new advert out in the UK showing this guy crashing his car and that it was the crash that killed him but his insides being all fucked up and his ribs breaking and puncturing his lungs and major arteries. My brother hardly ever wears a seatbelt and I always tell him too but he never listens to me, he has been caught a few times by the police and fined. With regards to the good deeds, I did tell my brother that I loved him (not in THAT way) and he was like yeah what ever. The last time I gave my brother a hug was at my mums funeral, normally I just thump him then run away.

Chi Update 11/12/08

Hello Everyone,

Chi's condition remains stable. He is still hooked up to a respirator to control his breathing, but can now breathe on his own. Yesterday, while visiting, I let him know that all his fans are praying and waiting for him to wake up. He responded by moving his eyes underneath his eyelids. We are so very happy with all of these small victories.

Yesterday Fieldy, the bass player for Korn, came to see Chi. As his visit was concluding, this nice, wonderful man left me with this, "we have the freedom of choices to make, but do not have the freedom to choose the consequences of the choices we make." We make so many choices each day, both small and large, that shape the lives we live. Can anyone create a life making bad choices? Today's assignment in this: please think everything through today, both the insignificant as well as the important. Make positive choices and be aware of the consequences of your actions. Doing this will you and those around you better.

Please continue to pray for Chi, and spread kindness when you can.

Respect, Love, and Gratitude,
Jeanne
