Chi, my man. I'm not good with words so I'll keep this short.

It bothered me a hell of a lot to hear of your accident. And for me to feel this way about something happening to a person i have no real personal attachment to seems strange. I believe your ability to spread so much good energy and joy through your music or just by being is amazing and so important. I bet your presence is really important for your family, friends and the band.  I know you'll get through this, and i will send you good thoughts until you do. I know it's just a matter of time. Wear your seat belt next time.

Not long after I got my license (seems like ages ago, I've been driving for almost a decade) I got pulled over for not wearing my seatbelt. Well, I had also just gotten outta jail (weed  ) So, needless to say I buckle up every fucking time I get in the car, its just habit now. Besides saving you $100+ on tickets, buckling up is good for your health.

And that's just so odd to hear that if these 3 people wouldn't have been there he might be dead - cruel. But I'm so happy to hear that he is doing fine so far!

I will admit...I don't buckle up every time I get in the car. If I'm just going around town I wont,but if I'm getting on high speed roads like the interstate I do. Yet...I wont leave my driveway till my kids are buckled. Kinda silly I make them and I don't.

Man if I didn't know that you were gonna pull through this then I'd be worried and upset, I still am, but I know you're gonna pull through. Everyone's comin together for you man, it's awesome. Chino, Abe and your Mom are keepin all your fans updated, so a big thanks to them, and your doctors too. But Chi, if anything ever happened to you or any of you guys, my goddamn life would be over. Me and my buddies have a band, and we cover nothing but Deftones. We fuckin love you guys, you are the biggest influences in our lives at this point. Anyways, my thoughts and prayers (which is weird because I don't pray at all usually) are with you and yours. Take care man, hope to see you back onstage in no time. As you can see from the extra update, Chi is showing definite signs of improvement. His father expects when he wakes up fully that they may have to re sedate him so that he doesn't start pulling out tubes and wires from his body... "Again you are so very much appreciated, god has his hand on our son, please continue to lift him in prayer. For today please forgive someone who has wronged you or wronged yours. Not forgiving is like taking poison and expecting the other person to die. Please continue to stay buckled, show love and spread kindness throughout the day to those around you". -Jeanne.

old school fan here letting you know how much i've been thinking of you. you are a wonderful person whose music has been in my life for 13+ years now (i still remember the day i picked up adrenaline in 95). i hope you get better and that you continue to inspire us all. Like the others, i get really shocked when I read about your (for me is) tragedy... I really don't know what would I do if any of the members of the band leave the band (in any possible way)...
I just have to thank you for making that great TONES that we all know, every one that is special in every song...
I don't know what else to say, I just hope you to get well as soon and be back touring and meeting your people=fans...
