Hey everybody,

My name is Lindsey and I run a website called World of Meh! along with my husband Chris. Both of us are huge Deftones fans and have been keeping track of Chi's progress ever since his horrible accident back in 2008. For awhile we've wanted to contribute to One Love for Chi, but financially we've been unable to do so. Last year we participated in a blog posting marathon known as Blogathon where, for 24 hours straight, we posted a new article to our site every 30 minutes. Crazy, right? Well it was.

A few months ago I was thinking about what charity we should pick for the upcoming Blogathon event, and, immediately, One Love for Chi popped into my head. We announced our charity choice last month, and yesterday we opened it up where people can start to donate. By doing the Blogathon, our website makes nothing. Since all donation links go directly towards the fund Gina has set up, there is no middle man involved. All we do is help get the cause out there, and donate our time for Chi.

Since we are a gaming website, I have contacted various companies, asking if they'd be kind enough to donate prizes for our fundraiser. So far, our friends at Activision have kindly, and generously, donated four complete Band Hero bundle kits for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Nintendo Wii. We are hoping as the days and weeks lead up to the Blogathon, which takes place on July 31st starting at 6 AM PST, and running until August 1st 6 AM PST, that more companies respond and help us out. All prizes that are donated will be raffled off during the Blogathon, and all those who donate and enter the raffle have a chance at winning. With the help of my friends at the Dirty Dowdy Podcast, we are looking to hold a local concert the night of the Blogathon here in Fresno, California, with proceeds from each ticket going towards One Love for Chi. If we can pull it off, we are going to have raffles going on there as well, with the option of people purchasing additional entries so we can boost the donation amount. URGENT REQUEST from Gina:

Chi's sister Mae woke up and was weak and couldn't hear anything! They were at the ER  doing all sorts of tests.. testing for brain bleed, stroke and everything.. Everyone please PRAY HARD for Mae. Chi is in the same hospital and is ok and stable.

Later: Mae had a CT scan and it was normal. She is now in icu and in need of lots of prayer please. Lots of tests happening. God bless her. Chi is fine i talked to him tonite and he opened his eyes and lifted his head. One love!

I don't exactly know the circumstances but I know Chi got released from hospital and sent home. Chi was 40 on the 15th of this month, so maybe it was for his birthday, I dunno. Mae is better and seems to be home as well. I'm guessing Gina isn't updating much since I think she has gone to stay with mom J and Chi.

Mae is home and resting. Chi is sleeping behind me as I type. Thank you all for the support and prayers! I love you. J

i also wanted to let you all know i talked to chi this morning and told him happy birthday! he was very verbal! he was making alot of noise – which is great! soon those sounds will come together to make words. he is doing good and i am sure is happy to be out of the hospital.

Have to admit I cried listening to Mae... Poor girl.
