I am back from up North visiting our brother Cheng. His condition remains the same - serious, but stable. We, along with the entire Cheng family, would like to extend our gratitude to everyone that's said a prayer or sent out their positive thoughts to Chi. Your support means more than you know.

During his recovery process, Chi's mother has asked that each day we spread a little bit of good in his name. So each day Deftones will be posting what you can do to help Chi recover. Today, she has asked that you all remember to buckle your seat belts, and remind those you love to buckle up. By doing something so little in his name, you will be helping him find the strength to recover.

this is neither the time nor the topic to be trying to express your personal views about religious bullshit. all we can do, and in fact, all anyone can do is stay positive and do something like say a prayer or spread a positive message, like the one chono said. we can't give chi time; time will give chi time. what we can give chi is our heartfelt wishes through any means, even if it's through prayer, to get better and express sincere care about an indivdual who is part of an ensemble of individuals that give us something wonderful, which is wonderful music. if that can give families and fans even just a spec of positivity during a very bad time, i'm sure even someone like you can probably put aside your differences for a damn second.

is it right that the longer coma (even if it's ultra-"stable") lasts the less possibility of him waking up is? i mean doesn't long coma status hurt something important in, for example, brain, or something?
