"Chi's condition has'nt changed much as of yesterday, he is still in a coma but very stable condition, I have been in touch with Abe and he is there along with the other members of Deftones and Chi's immediate family. He is with people who love him very much and thats very important for him right now, I as well as many others want to be there with him but only family members are aloud to be near him, so I am doing whatever I can on this side to send him positive engery and keep in my thoughts throughout my entire day. I am back from up North visiting our brother Cheng. His condition remains the same - serious, but stable. We, along with the entire Cheng family, would like to extend our gratitude to everyone that's said a prayer or sent out their positive thoughts to Chi. Your support means more than you know.

During his recovery process, Chi's mother has asked that each day we spread a little bit of good in his name. So each day Deftones will be posting what you can do to help Chi recover. Today, she has asked that you all remember to buckle your seat belts, and remind those you love to buckle up. By doing something so little in his name, you will be helping him find the strength to recover.

thats pretty cool that chi's mom would say that. using this time, when she could easily be an emotional wreck, to think of ways, no matter how small, to help something like this to be prevented i think says alot about who chi is and how he got that way. much love
