Why don't other bands/festivals have booths for donations going to Chi? Or have a benifit with people like Korn(and all those that have toured with Family Values),Thrice,Glassjaw etc. To me it seems like it's the least they could do. Is there any way to get in touch with promoters of shows or what not to see if something like that could be set up? People should email local radio stations and see if booths can be set up at shows.

chi's brother is in talks with korn... we are also going to put out a press release about looking for bands to volunteer to do a benefit.. and as soon as someone from the cheng's is ready to do interviews i have someone ready to get the word out to radio stations. the promoter from the tones first album offered to help me promote to his contacts for free. we just have to get all of our ducks in a row.. but everything is being worked on now.

it will be an awesome show once everything comes together.. and should raise the much needed funds for chi's much needed rehab therapy.

can't wait to see it happen...

guys.. this whole thing.. i don't know about the rest of you... but it has touched me in a way that makes me feel like i want to do something huge to try and change the world..(big dreams i know) ming and i talk about this all the time. i mean i have always lived by having alot of compassion and care for others.. but in the position i am in now i have learned so much more about chi than i ever knew before and he's just the type of person you want to live by example of.. maybe not in all ways cuz nobody is perfect.. but shit.. just do more caring for others...

i have been f'ed over by friends before and i think when that happened i pulled back alot.. you know.. fear of being hurt blah blah.. ya i am a girl.. so what.. but you know? it sucks. and when this all happened - i knew doing all this for chi... shit... i would never get hurt. so my love just flowed out HUGE... nice to be able to give your whole heart to something when you know there is no way you can get hurt.

That's beautiful.  I know what you mean by being hurt by your "friends" and feeling like you have to pull back for fear of being hurt again.  It's cool that through this experience, you are at like..your best and finest..helping people and being so altruistic.  It's hard to find people like you in this world we live in where everyone is steppin' all over eachother to get where they wanna be. You're an angel of awesomeness and I appreciate everything you're doing for Chi.

Went allright, considering we're a noiseband competing in a singer/songwriter contest.
We laughed our collective asses off: in between 9 sweet girls and boys with an acoustic guitar and piano, we ravaged with two keyboards (on through distortion), a loud bass and me disorting a guitar tuned to drop B (yes, inspired by William). We ended in one loud feedback tune.
The jury was cool though: apparantly we were cool, weird, something different and we should go..'but not in singer/songwriter'. We know, but we want to play

Anyway, we'll play again soon at thus art fair...i'll bring the stuff then.
Again, only a handfull of people will see, but have to try and reach out.

Just read the updates from family and friends. Got a watery eye from reading Adrienne's post.

what if u just took it the wrong way? it was just a thought.ginas bad friends made her hold her love back and it built up inside her.
once she felt safe all that held back love exploded into this. without those bad friends maybe the love would have vented a little all of the time and non of this would happen. if so, that is funny to me. chi gets lots of cash because ginas friends are evil
