Give it a few years, people will like it. It's a great album but some people I guess are not ready for it yet. It's waaaayyy ahead of its time.

Like all the other 'odd' albums by bands - they get respected in the end. History repeats itself. same shit/different band.

Funny thing is, people would love a repeated early album sound....that would be complete GASH. What's the point?

Yeah joke... I dont dislike the deftones, just setting low expectations for the new album.

I own every deftones record and saw them again in the summer, I'm pretty sure I like them a little.

what botheres me the most on this album are chinos lyrics. I think it really shows how he lacked focus making this album. his repeating all the time (rapture, rats combat) which i dont really like that much, and well the lyrics are just not nearly as interesting as in WP or S/T. Im not saying the album is uber shit, theres plenty of good songs, and some of them even have great lyrics. Still I think its lyrically the worst album by chino.
