the intro is about 30 seconds, so, about 30 seconds of video...nothing new. at least we saw steph´s 8 string.

It's not pointless.  Its fun man.  It is just a way for them to keep the fans excited and reassure us that there is work being done.  There is only so many times these guys can be interviewed about release dates, 8 strings, and Terry Date.  The band probably has very little to do with these videos anyways.  Its probably just donk sitting there and recording this shit for fun.  They might get a little annoyed if he was bugging them with the same old questions all the time.  I say just enjoy the tease of the new music.

Im just saying it was kinda pointless cause everything was so distorted you couldn't really hear what they were playing. I would have preferred Donk to stay behind the mixer, so It would be as clear as the last one. I'll stop complaining though, I'll take anything they have to offer.

I think it sounded good enough.  I mean it was a little distorted.  But not that bad.  I think you can get the main idea of what the sound is going to be like.  I might just be getting excited and giving the video a little bit of slack.  But I guess that would be mission accomplished for the purpose of the video.

Exactly.  I'd rather have this than interview after interview of Chino saying a release date ends up being pushed back to death.  I mean if we get clips like this each week until it's released, it makes me giddy and not worry about the release date so much.

I'm sorry, I'm REALLY not that impressed right now. People keep saying it's going to be "heavy as fuck", because he's using an 8 string. What they just played wasn't heavy, it sounded like SHIT.  Sure, the actual key/note will be low, but that's not what makes shit heavy. Go take a listen to Adrenaline, some of those songs are wonderfully heavy, but they written on 6 Strings. He needs to quit this ideal that adding more strings or tuning down as low as possible makes a song "heavy". Stef, you're not meshuggah, make YOUR music and quit trying to be something you're not.

I have to say, after listening to everything they've played so far, It's not looking good. I've been a fan of the band since 1994 when I got a demo tape from a friend in CA. But It's starting to show they're on a decline. Hopefully they can prove me wrong??
