Kind of disappointed by the song.  The band keeps saying they're going to get more progressive but they only have glimmers of this on each successive album.  I can dig straight forward songs, but like others have said, it sounds a lot like a few of their other songs, which has also been a problem of theirs (writing songs that sound too similar).  In my opinion, the songs that this sounds like (Rapture, Rats, and to a lesser extent Teething) were a lot more progressive in their composition.  I do find the chorus to be superior to Rapture and Rats however.

I'm hoping the rest of the album sounds like they put a lot more work into it.  Otherwise, I think the short writing time will mean lackluster songs.

Are you serious? One listen to each can answer that: The literal sound of the guitar, the songs themselves, Chino's voice which used to be amazing and point-on and melodic, the type and way of singing, the originality and awesomeness of the lyrics, the song titles (lol), ETC...

Yes, I'm serious.  I guess you need Chino to stop singing, Stef to pick up his 6 again, and for Terry to record with equipment circa 1997.  I do wish they'd go more in the direction of the S/T album though, cause I was really disappointed with most of SNW.

it seems as though they may have smoothed out the edges to those two failed gems.
