i think they said they started recording it in may. mixing next month means it's done, which is a good thing obviously. which should mean Chino has lyrics to go with these songs already . impressive if it turns out to be true

(shit we might even get this in september, a couple of months before release!)

i totally believe this.
even more so than with snw... that was just a desperate time to hear anything they put out, it was so long belated... i guess thats why it lacks longevity in my cd player because it fell short of an "epic return".

after hearing chino's influence on "caviar" with dance gavin dance, and "surrender your sons" with norma jean, and the clip i heard from the bad brains collab, it really seems like chino (as a good lead member) has his shit in order. -writing good lyrics/songs, workin on the range and harmonies in his voice (which some sound better than ever imo!)

much faith that eros will own up on shit and "possibly" be their best record in a hot minute..

there is no freaking way the album is gonna be out this year, is deftones for gods sake.

i have no doubt that the new album is gonna rock thus, deftones has never ever failed to deliver.

snw is as tight as a doll's pussy, it has grown so much in me, and it could be easly the most eclectic deftones album.

i just hope they're not rushing it, as much as i hate how long deftones take to write and record an album, they still deliver in the end. i wonder how the album will sound with their new writing/recording style. (sitting in a room all together and recording it live and with chino finally writing the lyrics along with the other instruments instead of waiting until after the other instruments have been laid down.)
