Mics: Audix cps_micro_HC capsules->Church audio active cable->Church Audio "ugly" preamp (80%)->Edirol R09HR(line in 24/48)
Transfer: SDHC card reader-> Adobe Audition 1.5(Bass roll off, boost levels 8db,16/44.1,fades)->
TLH (Flac level 8)

I started out in a great spot but then mosh pits and fights broke out near me.
I ended infront of a rowdy bunch but the hypers did a great job.
I had to jockey for position a few times. Hope it is not
to distracting. First time out with my new mics and very happy with the results.

If you have any HD video files LMK.

Here is a bootleg of the June 14th, 2011 Chi Cheng benefit show in Sacramento @ The Ace of Spades. I used a Zoom Q3HD and used did some dynamic range compression afterwards. This was my first time bootlegging, so bear with me. Eventually I'd like to be able to get awesome stuff like that guy who recorded that Corpus Christi show, but this is a start. I got mega dehydrated and had to leave the front area where I recorded (I put video of these songs on my YouTube page), so I actually ended up missing Passenger and Root. I got everything else, though.

Here is the setlist:

Diamond Eyes
Rocket Skates
Birthmark
Engine No. 9
Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)
My Own Summer (Shove It)
Digital Bath
Knife Prty  (with Teri Gender Bender)
Korea
Minerva
Bloody Cape
You've Seen The Butcher
Sextape
RX Queen (with Ben Weinman and Billy Rymer of The Dillinger Escape Plan)
Feiticeira
Elite
Change (In the House of Flies)
Passenger (with Greg Puciato of The Dillinger Escape Plan)
Headup

Encore:
Root
7 Words (with Chino Moreno's son, Jakobe Moreno)

Here is a MegaUpload of the entire show's audio  (I've got a Premium account) - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=AKSD4XAQ

and here is a link to my YouTube page if you want to watch the video I recorded that went with this show:

Of course, I can hook that up. Tbh, I didn't think anyone would want that cause I've got so much shaky cam b.s going on in some of 'em (combination of first time recording with this cam + crazy crowd movement). The actual files were recorded in 1080p, though...so they are going to be fairly large. If you want to re-extract the WAV audio from 'em/edit that sound down again, you can do that too if you want to try your hand at improving the sound on my bootleg.  All of the vids are about 8 gigs total. I'm throwing 'em up on Mega Upload as we speak. It is going to be about 10-11 hours for all of 'em to be posted.

Nah man, your recording is super good, don't worry. Thanks a lot. I'll try and see what I can do with your Dredg request you let me know about.

Thanks! That means a lot. Any videos I record in the future will be WAY better now that I know how this cam performs. Thanks for getting back to me. I appreciate that. Feel free to private message me on here or email me about the dredg stuff.

Tracklist:

To Have and To Hold [Depeche Mode cover]
My Own Summer (Shove It)
Root
Nosebleed
Around the Fur
Birthmark
Pink Maggit [Demo]
Be Quiet and Drive (Far Away)
Headup [feat. ?]

Notes: Again, one of my favorite shows. There's really not enough footage of Deftones from 1999... Performances were fucking tight and beautiful. That demo of " Pink Maggit " is one of the most beautiful things I've heard, and I especially like Chino's voice from that era. A bit dusty due to intense touring and yet able to pull off each note and scream. Really a particular era. Just one little bad thing on this recording, the bad filming on " To Have and To Hold " but it gets better right from " My Own Summer " to the end. Please also note that Sergio was playing instead of Chi, Chi had just gone though some foot surgery or something. There is someone doing the " Soulfly, fly high, soufly, fly free " part on Headup but I really don't know who it is. It's obviously not Sergio and the guy is apparently not onstage. They were touring with Pantera and Black Sabbath so I guess it was Phil Anselmo... If anyone could confirm ? The sound was off-sync on my DVD so I tried my best to fix it, probably not perfect but oh well.

My Own Summer (Shove It)
Feiticeira
Change (In the House of Flies)
Root
Bored
Around the Fur
Headup [Cut]

Notes: The very very early days of the White Pony era. A nice proshot showing how the White Pony vibe was being slowly introduced in the shows, especially regarding Chino's attitude onstage. This performance of " Change " is probably one of my favorites, if not MY favorite, the energy in it is insane, and Chino sounds top-notch, not even (too) drugged or anything. He definitely wasn't able to hit all the screams in the hardcore way from the previous years (for example, where the fuck are the final screams in " Around the Fur " ?), but the passion was more present than ever. This is the 3rd show they played in 2000. Too bad the MTV cut the end of " Headup ". I could complete it with the audience shot somewhen, though.
