Taste has nothing to do with it, I consider myself to be a Deftones fanatic, and being that i love everything they have ever released, and the fact that i post on this forum might suggest that on the subject of Deftones, I have similar tastes to other people posting here. No?

In my opinion, if you're into the Deftones, you should be able to recognise a bad jam if you see one.

I listened to it.  And I thought it was pretty decent.   Perhaps I am taken by the prospect of it being a "New" song....   

If that's so, it's ok.   I am just hyped up on them workin on something new. And it could very well be about taste....  Everyone has a different fav song or album by the D Tones..

why the hostility, dude? I was just trying to point out that it's pretty dumb to simply assume that just because you didn't like a jam a lot of other people got excited about, they're all stupid. just listen to yourself. who's the preachy one?

what made me like the short clips was simply the nice riff, Abe's drumming (which reminded me of Digital Bath) and the fact that it sounded like they might go in a new direction. I never said it's their best song ever.
