100 pages. woahses moses. but yeah this is the album i've been waiting for them to make ever since self titled.

yeah but like half of the posts in that thread is about eros, so its a bit misleading

the cky board has 300 pages about their album that came out april 09, and that's when they made the topic. i guess this place isn't easy to find though, i guess deftones myspace is where their fans are, they don't have an official board anymore really. speaking of which, the official board even likes the album

They get like $1.50 from a $15 cd to split 5 ways . They get most of the money from touring minus the road crew and paying back the lable for tour support. Thats why I go to the shows and buy the albums.

if you want them to keep making records then buy the records they make. i listen to leaks and shit beacuse i'm impatient but i'm still going to buy it. unfortunately the closest they've ever toured to me is a 14 hour drive but i'd gladly make it to see them. touring and merch is where the money is for bands these days but the label is more concerned with how many units you can move.

I buy the albums because there is nothing like when you buy your favorite bands new album and immediately play it in the car then, drive around for an hour jamin the fuck out.

he seems to have a lot of effects going. they sound distorted through most of the album but overall he sits on top of the mix rather nicely for me.

he really stepped it up and brought some different melodies and ideas. Stef? not so much

i think stef changed a lot here and brought a lot of new sounds. seems to me though that abe isn't rocking it like he did on the last one.

I agree. stef even has some little guitar solos.  Abes Drumming like always is Great. They all really stepped up and wrote an amazing record

is there another solo besides royal? i guess it can be called a solo, what's everyone think? i'll say Stef was better on DE than s/t, and about equal to snw. he did fine on DE, i'd just like him to get more technical, he's done simple to death. but this album is great anyway

white pony has never been a favorite of mine. i'd take self titled over it any day. its just not their best for me.

yeah i get that a lot. personal preference. i go by what i can relate to the most pretty much. diamond eyes pretty much shares a lot of the same sentiments as myself it seems. i don't know how to describe it. self titled i relate to a lot but ATF is just my classic deftones memory record and i love it.
