Beauty School and (especially) Sextape make me sad like Mascara, Xerces, Cherry Waves, and Riviere do  

Very powerful songs and it's hard for me to actually listen to them...

i agree, this album triggers a lot of emotion, sextape really gets me. i know White Pony was the album that was supposed to "take them to where they  needed to go" but i feel this album is the one that will break them into the mainstream...and to the person that said they felt the  90s feel to it, i totally agree, i felt a kind of vibe on the album that i couldnt explain, and you hit it it right on the head. im very proud of them

It is a great album.  Definitely love every track on it, and I'm telling you, you gotta listen to that scream on Royal at 3 minutes, speachless, they really hit home with this one.

Diamond Eyes sets up Royal really well. Those first 3 songs pretty much tell you this album is going to give you Ear-gasums.

So... Listened to it for the whole night.

And have to admit, lots of songs are similar to each other. Although you can hear lots of different new influences.

This is really the album they put the most efforts in, it totally hears...


Nevertheless, I wanted at least one song that was longer than 5minutes, there is not enough heavy stuff, and they're really going far away from their roots. I don't know if it's good.

Don't get me wrong, I already love this album. I just don't know how to feel about it. i would never say that it's deftones best thing. Never. But they totally worked their asses off to put out that thing.


The album deserves a good 8/10. Fuck whoever thinks that my opinion is stupid.
