Hi,

I chatted with Jeff Irwin (Will Haven) last night at their Paris show and he told me that Eros wouldn't be out before spring. The mixing has started, but without the band: Terry Date is doing it alone in Seattle. Probably a good thing, then the album won't be pushed back again. Hopefully.

Yeah. I expect it to come out by the end of this year or at least Jan of 09. I hope they reveal the album art and lead single in late October or in November. Glad that Terry is mixing it though. He is soo good.

After Spaceland, the band headed north to Ventura and played to a sold out crowd at the Majestic Ventura Theatre. Both shows marked the first time Deftones played live since beginning work on next year's Eros, and gave fans their first taste of new Deftones music. Here's a few shots from the show:

The band completed this short run of dates with an appearance at the KUPD End of Summer Scorcher in Peoria, AZ. They've since returned home to put the final touches on what's sure to be their best effort yet.
