The band gets very lazy sometimes (some songs only have like 2 riffs in them and/or are pretty much rehashes of other songs).  But most of the time they're brilliant.

By the way, Pink Cellphone was one of the best songs off of SNW.

By the way, Pink Cellphone was one of the best songs off of SNW.

If Annie Hardy just voided the speaking bit toward the end, Pink Cellphone would have easily been a favorite; it's so fresh and what I think to be one of the most seductive songs on the album. I love listening to the instrumental version just because I love the beat. Ahhhh, but Combat is something else. That's a fucking gem.

Also, I've been told there are about 7 songs done (which was reiterated by the new blog), and that the album is almost certain to be released next fall. I'm really eager to hear what it'll sound like; I just hope nothing leaks until then.

PCP at least sounded different than any of their other songs.  As much as the band says they try not to repeat themselves and try to to push the envelope, sometimes they don't live up to their standard.

You're right though, Combat was the best song on that album.

weakcure is right too though, if PCP didn't have that last part a lot more people would like it.  I personally felt they should have had it as a secret little thing at the end of the album.  It kind of messed up the flow with it in the middle of the cd.
