i know. im sensing it will have a great summer vibe to it, fast, and sexy, and anxious... like summer lust.... MMMmmmmmm... i can nearly taste the new tunes. i walk around and imagine whole songs, how they will sound; in riffs, drumming, singing, FRANK, and voice... i actually make up my own in the process... i need this. im looking for conceptual (unlike snw) and more experimental with song structure and tempo/rhythm stuff, and some of that good ole "fuck you i hope you die!" agression we all love so much

yeah man, same here. I also hope it has a kickass art work, Deftones is the only band (well also Tool but that's different) which I really look forward to the whole package (music/artwork). Let's see what they have prepared for us, I'm anxious.

maybe, invent the new great guitar song of our time....you never know, really... we may be staring down the barrel of a new stairway to heaven or something of that not so immediate nature.. there are things he can do(outside of his normal style), though he chooses not to, but i sense some "choice" material on this new album... i sense great things, even more so than snw.

I kind of hope that the new albums production has this lofi/garage rock sound to it. But heavy as fuck and totally psychedlic. Something reminiscent to Portisheads new album.

The new album will be great. A lot of the complaining about SNW isn't very surprising since we have all heard what strife was occurring in the band (and with Chino in particular), but despite that I thought it was a great effort. Lots of great songs. There are a lot of great songs and I especially like the vocal production, although I agree with an early post in this thread that it doesn't "kick" as much. I think it's the mix, the drums should be more in the forefront. Now that the boys are back together and feeling good, we'll see something special. Remember when WP came out. The first time you heard Digital Bath or Elite? Prepare for a rebirth, people. These dudes haven't been spinning their wheels. Can't wait to see 'em live again. Long live the 'tones!!
