sooner or later we will hear it. either the band revisits it (not that likely), or the record label will release a song or two in the box set that will come shortly after the band splits up.

Funny thing is, we were all pised that team sleep's new record was to be released in 2006 as they anounced in like 2007. And that is not happenning too. They have a good excuse this time anyway, you can't blame people for the unexpected.

Not a bad theory. Deerhunter was getting ready to release Microcastle in 2008, then Bradford's[singer] megaupload files were hacked and people found that there was something called the Weird Era Cont.. It was supposed to be a surprise disc with more music then just the new album...

Deerhunter are way more indie than deftones tho. they probly have much more freedom of choice in that sort of thing

yeah also it doesn't seem like a deftones thing to do. they like to make us wait. sometimes i think they just like to watch us sweat as they dangle a new album in front of our faces like "want it? can't have it! oh you want it, here ya go, SNAP can't have it sucka!"

If I'm correct, Chino said himself that it would see the light of the day, soon or later.

now there's a reliable source    i dont know,i would love to hear eros ,i really really do.. but its suppose to be wierd, experimental and dark.. and as chino is getting older.. and he seems to be past that misery stuff ..in life,and in music.. refering to it as "old and done" ..not sure he will stand behind such a release. fuck u chino

I thought Eros was supposed to be 'snappy' like in the vain of around the fur. I don't think they were gonna make another 'dark' record after s/t and snw.

the eros clips in the studio wasnt so snappy? and even melanie, which is a pretty fast track, have kind of a sad depressing chorus

Well i was going by what chino said in an interview. Then again chino says alot of things. I found melanie to be faster tempo though.

The chorus = plain suckage


What is out of the chorus = excellent


And that ending riff is delicious.
