The most ghetto possible thing I could do is what I actually do.

I built a mic out of a three dollar mic element and a headphone cord. I then duct taped it to the earpiece of a stethoscope and plugged the mic into the mic jack of my computer. I record with sound recorder man, sound recorder.

But I do all my mixing and effects in FL Studio.

It's fun though. I've figured out some cool shit I can do with sound recorder. Such as make it sound like I can hold a 30 second scream. It's fun.

Not in sound recorder, no. But in FLS I could. But that's not what I usually do. I just gather up ideas to record one track, record whatever I think will sound cool, play it back, record a background track or two and layer them in FLS.
