Dawn Of Solace - The Darkness

Not actually considered as doom metal but it's dark, melancholic and quite slow.

I'll check them out, thanks.  Don't mind the darker, gothic kind of metal bands.  Anyone ever listen to or remember Orphanage?

try Alcest. Actually, it's shoegazing band now, they were Black Metal several years ago, and now they (in fact, he) has  a lot of black metal elements in its music

For me it's one of the best, or  maybe just THE BEST album of 2007

Agalloch is sweet!  They actually have more in common with My Dying Bride musically.  Try Borknagar's Origin.

Arcturus is badass and definitely different.  Some of the other guys on here might know some better folky stuff.  I'm not too into the folk thing unless you like Green Carnation but that's not black metal.

Only the vocals are close to black metal but the music sounds like a folkish MDB. 

I need good black metal stuff. the autumn is coming soon so I need some stuff to put on my headphones.
