I would  recomend Blue October- but their early stuff. They have especially a song called Black Orchid, Weight of the World and For My Brother. Any song from their cds called Consent to Treatment and the other called History For Sale.

I know the drummer of this band. They've just put a new demo up called 'Panic', which is really nice. I don't know how to describe it, kind of like Muse, Jeff Buckley and 'Damnation' by Opeth in a blender. Really nice mellow rock with a groove.

No problem, I'm actually glad somebody checked them out.  An acquired taste, but one hell of one.  Here's a link to their last album, The Death Imprint.  They have more, but it's hard to find.  I think there's even an entire album of B-Sides they released from that session floating around somewhere.
