Im downloading a lot of bootlegs here, theyre all in the FLAC format, some are cool (soundboard) some are recorded in the audience and the sound is a fucking crap.

FLAC files are about 30MB per song, take a long time if youre downloading them from torrents sites and some bootlegs I cant find in MP3.

Who cares if a bootleg is lossy? who cares if some album youre downloading on internet is on 192kbps?
Well, if you wanna lossless files go and buy the original CD.

FLAC sucks, fuck that shit you NERDS.

ignore the fashion

I know it, thats why I cant find some bootlegs in mp3.

I dont understand why keep an audience shit quality bootleg in FLAC.

And it take a lot of your HD space.

Other thing that pissess me of is that DVD-9 , why download a 7.5GB DVD? Just compress it to 4.5GB...

blondie

low quality music for low quality people.

if you're worried about your 20GB hard drive getting full, just rip them to mp3, then delete the flac files, genius. just make sure you keep those bullshit mp3s to yourself.

I know you are nerdy too, dear.

I have a lot of space on my HD, I just dont understand when you compare some FLAC files with mp3 they sound almost the same specialy with bootlegs.

If I wanna something with quality I just buy the cd.

but ok, internet serious business.

If the AUD is shitty to begin with why fuck the sound up more by converting it to mp3?  Fucking n00b.

I agree, why record lossless if your mic is shitty. The only time things should be recorded lossless is when it's straight of the soundboard. Otherwise what's the point.
Yes, I can imagine

Deftones-argentina

I remember comparing the mp3 of buffalo (audience recording) in mp3 and then downloading the flac. I was amazed at the difference. Then I showed the same thing to a cassual listener of the song, and he heard the difference to. It's just better Rafa, when you compress things to mp3 the drumkit and symbals looses all the definition and gets too muudy and the lows are gone.

Plus, it's more efficient for remastering purposes, trust me.

Zevaka

Difference is huge. Just buy good speakers or good headphones.
The difference is obvious also for 192 kbps mp3 and VBR v0 mp3 (or 320 kbpos mp3)
+ things about remastering, what my Argentinian buddy said.

Well, i have 120+ gb of music in my collection, and i believe at least ~10 Gb of them are worth having loseless
It  is like 100 CDs. I don't have enough money for it.

If you mean that version with vocals, ok that was not a shit quality, I have the lossless of that too, I think you uploaded that by the way.

thats your alternative, ok.

thats the whole point, I did this topic cos some torrents Ive downloaded was from the audience, people said was in good quality, was a FLAC but when I played that the quality was a shit, cos was recorded from the audience with a shit mic and was too distant.

Plus some of that bootlegs have only a few seeders (most of them have just one) and it take days to finish the download.
When the download is finished you will listen that thinking at least is audible then not, FLAC or not the sound is a crap.

I'm glad all the bands I listen to allow and actually encourage taping.  I get every show in awesome quality.  $3000 mics and shit.
