Yeah definitley it's Stephen's buzz saw tone, it's like a doubled version of Corgans style, not to mention the similiar tunings and chord voicings and dissonance. But still they aren't anything alike really, I hate comparing bands. Just let every band be themselves.

Team Sleep sounds more like SP than deftones ever will..maybe its TS you should be critiquing, or Chino more specifically

Yeah team sleep does, it's a little more dreamy like them and all that shit but Team Sleep passes into Deftones territory just a little too though, well the self titled did anyway.
