I asked in the comments & suggestions thread if there were any threads dedicated to lyrics and meanings, esp. since deftonesworld.com doesn't have SNW and DE in their Lyrics & Meanings section. I was told that I could start one if I wanted.

I really enjoy hearing/reading interpretations of the lyrics--it helps me to enjoy the songs even more. I can definitely get much of this through a Google search, but it would be nice to have discussions about it on here. This site has them in the comments section: http://www.songmeanings.net/

I love reading lyrics interpretations. It's interesting how any other person subjectively notices completely different things about the lyrics.

While talking about lyrics, I particularly like lyrics for Minerva, while they are deeply connecting the protagonist with the universe - the universe sings and you become numb, stunned with all it's greatness and endlessness, while you're so small.

For the song you saved us..
For the hearts you break, every time you moan..."

I believe while singing about "you all" and "us", Chino means the people of planet earth that try to live in harmony with the universe.

I love those lyrics. The great thing is they are so adaptable to a number of contexts. I actually think it might be about his divorce

I smoke a lot of weed so I tend to get deeper than the lyrics probably intended to go.

one of my top Deftones songs is knife party...now i have heard a few stories as to what the lyrics supposedly pertain to..but this is how i see it when i hear it

Lhabia sounds like a naration of a bored teenager who feels so desensitized and distant from everything around her so she starts experimenting with drugs then eventually becoming a hooker to feed her habbit, maybe represented by the chick on the album cover? I think it kinda ties in with around the furs meanong too
