So, I've finally got time to post some music. I'm going to keep it to five releases so people aren't too overloaded with music... I'll post the album and a link to download it and then their Myspace so you can check them out. All the links are found via Google so if any of them die then let me know... This is music I've been enjoying at the moment. Some of you may know the bands/albums already but hopefully there will be something here that at lease one person discovers and enjoys.

The Graduate - Only Every Time

1. Don't Die Digging
2. Sirens
3. Stuck (Inside My Head)
4. Make Believe
5. Pull Me In
6. Choke
7. Halfway There
8. Permanent Tourists
9. All At Once
10. End of the World Delight
11. For the Missing

This is a great, up-beat and atmospheric indie rock album. The band are a recent discovery and I don't think this album has even been officially released yet. It was produced by Brian McTernan who has worked with Circa Survive, Thrice and Cave In so that should give you an idea of what the album kind of sounds like... Check out the songs on their Myspace and see if you like them.

Teams - We Have A Room With Everything

1. Nude Tilt
2. Better (In This Way)
3. Airworks
4. Confetti
5. Sunbells
6. We Have A Room With Everything

Teams is Sean Bowie from Knoxville, TN, and writes downtemp-ish, ambient beats that are all over the spectrum. I like to think of this music as a more ambient version of Animal Collective with less vocals. You can stream the whole album on his Bandcamp below.

Arms And Sleepers - Matador

1. Orly
2. Matador
3. The Architekt
4. Twentynine Palms
5. Helvetica
6. The International
7. Simone
8. Kino
9. Words Are For Sleeping
10. The Paramour

Arms and Sleepers combine live sounds and samples to craft lush dreamscapes of Portishead-like eeriness and ambient beauty.  Don't listen to this album while driving at night - you'll likely veer into oncoming traffic.  Otherwise, go ahead and let the waves of trance and transcendence wash over you. Arms and Sleepers has a knack for blending the 'crunch' of live drums with the 'click' of electronic beats. This is fast becoming one of my favourite albums of all time.

The Felix Culpa - Sever Your Roots

1. New Home Life
2. Our Holy Ghosts
3. The Constant
4. Roots
5. Escape To The Mountain, Lest Thou Be Consumed
6. The First One To The Scene Of An Accident Always Gets Blood On Their Hands
7. Unwriting Our Songs
8. Mutiny
9. Rum And Cigarettes
10. Because This Is How We Speak
11. It's Raining At Indian Wells
12. What You Call Thought Control, I Call Thought Control
13. An Instrument
14. Apologies

Would you know a perfect album the first time you listened to it? True, classics never come easy - it's the discomfort they deliver that makes you return to them time and time again, hoping to better understand what's going on. Such is the case with Sever The Roots, The Felix Culpa's long-awaited sophomore album. At 66 minutes, it's quite the mountain to climb, but the consistently innovative music and of frontman Marky Hladish's impassioned vocals make it one Everest worth scaling repeatedly. Take Brand New's ambition ("New Home Life"), Glassjaw's rhythmic intensity ("The Constant"), Circa Survives atmospheric aggression ("It's Raining At Indian Wells") and a lyrical style reminiscent of As Cities Burn and Mewithoutyou that Challenges God, self and others ("An Instrument"), and you end up with what is an early contender for best album of 2010. Don't sleep on it.

For a Minor Reflection - Höldum í átt að óreiðu

01 Kastljós
02 Fjara
03 Floð
04 Dansi dans
05 Andlega veðurtepptir
06 Tómarúm
07 Sjáumst í virginíu
08 Átta
09 A-moll
10 Séð til lands

Now for some post-rock  :) Hailing from Iceland FaMR comprises of four 20-year-olds from Reykjavík, Iceland. Their music is best described as energetic, melodious post-rock, though being the natural creative visionaries they are, the band expand and even subvert their style with almost every song. The album was recorded in Sigur Ros's studio in Iceland.

thank you so much, great taste in music.  :)

The Felix Culpa could seriously end up in my top albums of 2010. Good stuff. Also enjoyed The Graduate and For a Minor Reflection a lot.

Black Paris 86 will probably remain my favorite Arms And Sleepers album, but I'll give this one another chance. And that TEAMS stuff I found a bit too predictable, didn't give me too much.

sing blue silver

REALLY digging the felix culpa. good stuff.
