Got the tattoo

so don't curse me if theres already a thread for deftones tattoo's but i figured i'd share this. haven't posted here in a long time but was hoping to get some feedback on my new deftones tattoo. i decided to get a deftones tattoo because i've been a fan for about 12 years now and my interest has never wained. i'm as into their music now as i was when i was a kid. they have a lot of significance in my personal life and were an influence on the person and musician i am today. i know one day when i'm about 80 i'll probably regret it but also when i'm that old i'll probably remember all the great times i had and the deftones music was a big part of that. from playing their songs with old bands in high school to using their music to get through some tough spots and just being an overall devotee, the deftones and their music has been something constant and secure in this otherwise uncertain world. if you have any such tributes feel free to share. feedback is welcome. anyway enough about that and on to the tattoo.

yeah. people have been like "are you sure that's a good idea" but i'm pretty confident even if i don't listen to them someday it really symbolizes a period in my life that i really enjoyed.

Of course it does man.  I feel the same exact way about the tones.  They will always be part of my life and they have also helped me get through rough times.  I might not listen to them everyday when im 50 but we'll always love their music and it will always take us back to our youth.  Sick tat man

I really like it man, good position too. Mine's in a prominent place and I do sometimes wish I'd had it somewhere else. I got mine over 6 years ago now. You'll get people questioning it all the time, but fuck 'em, you know? Mine's been posted on here so many times, but I'll share anyway, haha.

thanks for the feedback and that hexagram tattoo is indeed awesome. i'm suprised i havent seen more people with the cat though. its always been my favorite of any deftones logos or artwork.

Yeah, he was just like "Right on!" and slapped my arm. Thing is, the day before, I'd had my cherubs done on the other side of the same arm and had the deftones logo touched up in the process. So he fucking slapped that shit and fuck man, it hurt.

Cool you took the step. To be honest, It could have been done a little better, but still, nice! I have the cat too. One of my realier tattoos and I wish I had done it by some better tattooist. After the years my knowledge of that tattoos got better and I have a whole bunch now. So now, I would have done it by someone better.

i'll probably regret all my tattoos when i'm 80 except for the one on my leg which is a tribute to my best friend who passed away back in may. this pic was taken immediately after i got this tattoo so it probably looks a little crappy. it dosent look to bad now. i'll need to get a better picture because the cats face came out insanely good. glad to see someone else got the screaming kitty. i get my tattoos all done by the same guy. he does really amazing work. i'll need to get a better picture up because the detail in the fur and the cats face is crazy.
