but i just read some good news that, according to Rolling Stone, their new album is out June 3.
this was news to me, i had no clue they were close to completing the new disc

the cure are one of my all time favorite bands. and there bass player is one of my all time favorites as well

Simon is like the only pick bassist I like. He was really creative at bloodflowers (favourite album). I think the cure is my third favourite band. and yes, as the thread says, they are awesome.

Who has heard the Forever '84 version that's on the top deluxe edition? It's simply SICK.

Disintegration is a fucking epic song.  It's one of those songs where you've gotta imagine how awesome it must have felt when they finished writing it.
